I searched Bugzilla and I couldn't find anything close enough to this. I have a
Windows XP AMD Athalon 64? processor. I had problems with IE using Earthlink in
the past where pages refused to load, so I switched to AOL Dial-up. I
downloaded Firefox on www.downloads.com. For some strange reason, the only page
that will load on Firefox is http://thesims2.ea.com. any other pages (even
http://start.mozilla.org!) says that the operation timed out when attempting to
contact (e.g. http://start.mozilla.org) I don't know if this is a bug or not,
but some feedback will be greatly apperiated

Reproducible: Always

bug still occurs with the Defalt theme.
But IE works with your AOL-Dialup ?
Do you use a firewall on your system ?
This really isn't a "real bug" with Firefox. It probably just has to do with
your system settings. See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=258042
for steps to solve this, and if you do, mark this bug as INVALID.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
