298486 - unread, total and size columns do not appear

On the 1.8b2 nightly build version, I can't to have the columns in the left
frame of the main mail window. When I click on the little pulldown menu (Unread
Total Size) and choose one of the options .. it does not occur anything!

For information, it's a version that I build myself on Sparc Sun Solaris 8, with :

As you are using gtk1, this is most likely a duplicate of bug 261959  => marking
as dup
