OK, I connect to the I-Net using a dial-up connection. When I'm through I like
to disconnect the phone but leave the browser open. Unfortunately FF is very
"aggressive" and within a few minutes will bring up the dial-up window. If I
Cancel out it will do this repeatedly every couple of minutes. Not only is this
extremely annoying -- since it interrupts whatever else I'm doing and causes me
to have to click windows to get back to where I was -- but if I'm in my paint
program (Paint Shop Pro) it will cause that program to lock-up when the dial-up
window appears if I'm in the middle of a mouse-button-down operation at the
time, basically making that program unusable when FF is open but supposed to be
idle.

This is intolerable behavior. Can you make it stop? Please?! I know when I
want to go online. FF doesn't! The only other program I have like this is MS's
Windows Media Player 9 and I'm sure you don't want to be grouped with those people.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see above
2.
3.

Actual Results:
lock-up, or just cursing annoyance

Expected Results:
It should not have interferred with other progs.
It should not click on things for me.
Does it help if you open "about:config" (as URL), enter "autodial" in the upper
searchbox and change the entry network.autodial-helper.enabled from "true" to
"false" ?
