I have my homepage set to
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ifps/MapClick.php?CityName=Las%20Cruces&state=NM&site=epz
but a new window with the mozilla homepage keeps popping up every few minutes. I
am not sure if it has to do with a spyware program, but each window that pops up
has your homepage on it, not my homepage. Furthermore, it only happens when
mozilla firefox is installed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install firefox
2.start firefox
3.wait a few minutes

Actual Results:  
firefox initialized at my prefered homepage, but opened a new window with the
mozilla homepage on it after a few minutes

Expected Results:  
firefox should just sit there

problem only occurs WHEN INTERNET IS CONNECTED

OK Jay, I don't see much trouble on your system, only some adware.
If you end these two processes in your taskmanager: WINSERVSUIT.EXE and WINSERVAD.EXE, then open hijackthis, click on "Do a system scan only" and put a checkmark in the box ONLY before this line:

I don't know what was the problem exactly, but I chose Internet Explorer as my default browser and the mozilla.org window stopped popping. I still use Mozilla to surf but the page doesn't appear anymore.  I guess I will have to maybe uninstall Mozilla and reinstall it.
