Description

These are split out patches from a tarball dump of a tree with roc's various
gfx/cairo work.  Missing here is patches to move the native theme stuff into
widget, because I think that's in another bug already.  Also missing is some
view-captive stuff that roc implemented to support SVG ForeignObject rendering.

The stuff here should land the second we branch 1.8/1.1.  The *second*.  Very
microsecond.

I've been doing some more work on this and have a good chunk of additional
patches in my tree (some misc compilation fixes, line drawing fixes, doing some
DrawTile work now).  The additional work is a separate patchset on top of this
stuff, so we can figure out a good landing order when the time comes.

This bug doesn't seem to be useful anymore, but I'm not entirely sure.  This all
got checked in, right?
