I've many folder where the messages are filtered when I download them. When I
download new message, if some (many) folder contains unreaded message, I don't
understand where are located new messages. So I'd like a window, when the
download is ended, thet say...
Folder xxx 3 new messages
Folder yyy 2 new messages
folder xyx 10 new message
Using the filter log isn't a good idea cause this function said for every
message what filter was used and don't show a summary
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Press send and reiceve mail
2. the mail are automatically filtered
3. if a message is filtered in a folder that contains new message the things is
not so evident
Actual Results:
see below
Expected Results:
The software show a list with the folder that contains new message

Are you saying that, if a folder *already* has unread messages that when the new
messages are filtered to that folder, you can't tell, because the folder name
was already bold (in the folder tree)?
Are you using IMAP or POP mail? If IMAP, are you filtering to IMAP folders, or
to Local Folders?
The way this is supposed to work is, when a New message (different from Unread)
arrives in a folder, the folder is tagged with a little flag (a small orange
dot, in the default theme) -- that's how you can tell that new mail has arrived
in the folder since the last time you checked.
The account also gets a New flag. However, if you are filtering messages out of
the account and into Local Folders (or some other POP account's folder), the New
flag remains on the original account, not the account containing the destination
folder.
Note that the little flag is cleared in certain cases even if you don't look at
the folder: when you click Get New Messages, and when you exit the program, are
the two most obvious cases.
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
Summary: A windows that list new messages in wich folder is → Want window or notification that itemizes new (filtered) messages by folder
Version: unspecified → Trunk

I see just a number of unreaded messages. No orange dot. I'm sorry :)

As I said above I work with a global folder so I haven't folder for account
I tried to attach an image of my folders pane. In this image you can see a view
of some folders of mine. There is a folder that have 29 messages unreaded. If
the number change in 39 I'll have many difficult to see that new message
downloaded is in that folder. I hope now it's more clear.

I do see the destination *folder* getting the New flag, in TB 1.0.2 and
pre-1.1 nightly builds, whether the original POP account is deferred to the
global inbox or not. The "orange dot" (or, in Mozilla, the "green arrow") is
shown as part of the folder icon; depending on which theme you're using, it
could appear as something else, or even not be shown at all.
Bug 202783 is about the failure to put a New flag on the destination *account*
(which would include "Local Folders") when a new message arrives in it; and
bug 116181 is (in part) about the original account getting flagged even if all
new messages have been filtered out of it.

Yes I'm totally stupid. Now I see the orange dot. I just seen bold text and
number of messages unreaded and I thinked to an dot like the dot in message (in
a separate column).
Anyway, the problem is still present when the messages are filtered in a
subfolder. I don't see where e when there is new message.
