when I try to search for a topic such as "laptop computers" in the browser bar
window, the screen flickers and nothing happens. The letters h a r t m u t
appear in the upper left hand corner of my home page. I cannot search for any
topics, I can only go to specific web addresses that have been typed into the
address bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.type in a search topic
2.select enter to begin searching
3.no search takes place

Actual Results:
nothing
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050626

I typed in "laptop computers" and got sent to www.gateway.com
This is the "I'm Feeling Lucky" version of Google integrated into the browser.
This sends the user to the first search result instead of displaying a lost of
search results.

Try upgrading to a recent build of FireFox (aka Deer Park Alpha 1) at
http://www.mozilla.org/developer (at the bottom)
