User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 At some point in recent days, 8 of my almost 80 mail folders and sub-folders were suddenly renamed by Thunderbird. The new names were similar in length and format. Here are the renames created by Thunderbird: New Main folders Renames: 369aadf0, 42143639, 7f49e35b, 8bba104e. None of their sub-folders names were changed. The main folder 369aadf0 wasn't a rename but was new - created by Thunderbird and now contained mail from another main folder. New Sub-folders Renames: these first 3 were under the same main folder: b8cac9eb, c0f9bd3c, 53a6bfc6 and e578e8cb. Their main folder names did not change. I don't know if this was a result of a sudden system power down, system crash (both rare occurrences), when I compacted Thunderbird's folders or as a result of some other event. They were just there one day. I can't duplicate it, nor can I tie the undesired renaming to any specific event. I was able to rename all the folders back to their original names. Reproducible: Didn't try

Reporter, does the issue still occur with the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies? (1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported Thunderbird version 2 is 2.0.0.16)
