User-Agent: Opera/8.01 (Windows NT 5.1; U; de) Build Identifier: Version 1.0.2 (20050317) When switching from an ow folder (e.g. info@domain.com) to local folders, the multiple identities createt for that account (e.g. name@domain.com, news@domain. com) still use the old settings for "copies and folders" (info@domain.com) instead of local folders. thats why sent messages get lost. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create an acoount 2. create virtual identitie(s) 3. set account to local folders that's it Actual Results: data lost! sent messages aren't stored Expected Results: leave a message in sent items :-)
Have you checked all "Sent" folders in all your accounts if your mails are really lost? Perhaps they are put in an unexpected folder.

(In reply to comment #1) > Have you checked all "Sent" folders in all your accounts if your mails are > really lost? Perhaps they are put in an unexpected folder. In TB there was only one "Sent" folder left, the one of my local folders. I checked this folder several times, my message (sent from a virtual identity) were not stored there. nicht- However, you may be right and there is no data loss. The "lost" messages may be stored somewhere in my profiles folder, but they are not accessible any more via the TB interface?! i hope this i of use...

Reporter (lu) -- did you manage to recover the lost messages? It should have been simple to do. With TB 1.0, the default identity's folders were switched but none of the others' were. With TB 1.5, *no* identity's folders are switched. David, was that change intended?

Mike, I don't think that was intentional - if 1.0 switched the special folders, 1.5/2.0 should as well. Not sure what could have changed there.

Wayne Mery, thanks for your efforts. I do not really remember what happened, I guess I did recover the messages. How ever I have never had the problem again (though I do not use local folders anymore).
