User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Received this message while browsing on amazon.com: "Attention: There appears to be a bug in the web browser you are currently using". They then suggested phoning in my credit card information (rather than using the internet). What do I do? Sorry I have no IT credentials or ability. Reproducible: Didn't try Firefox has "generated errors Log being kept" (somewhere) several times and I have been kicked off the internet.

Reporter, we need more information to work on this bug. First of all, it would be best if you downloaded and installed the latest version of the Firefox browser, which is 1.0.4 and try and reproduce the bug again. You must state in full detail what you were doing in amazon.com and provide the address of the page that showed this error. You should also verify that you are actually using amazon and the secure site lock appears on the bottom of the browser and in the location bar. That phoning in of your credit card number is a little suspicious.

Just FYI: Amazon.com offers a phone-in service to allow people uncomfortable with the security of their web browser. It sounds like the reporter would be most likely to get that message during the SSL-encrypted ordering process. I cannot confirm this bug due to insufficient information.

I've never seen this error using Amazon. Anne, do you still see this using Firefox 2.0.0.3 or later? Is there a specific page that caused it to happen or what sequence of events made this happen?
