I'm thinking of displaying something in the status bar, beside where the URL of the destination is shown. It might display some appropriate icon, or perhaps text such as 'opens in new window'. These are just suggestions, and there might be better ways of displaying this information. Reproducible: Always

I forgot to mention this when I duped this, but an easy solution to this exists here: http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips#lay_linkcursornew
