It has some bugs listed, but they're all closed. Apparently we cannot remove this component from BugZilla without re-assigning the (closed) bugs to some other component. As the bugs aren't relavent to the other components we're stuck with a deprecated component on our list. Please correct me if I'm wrong (I did search the bug database with 'delete component assign', but I couldn't see anything that matched what we want to do). Thanks Kev Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a component 2. Assign bugs to component 3. Close bugs 4. Delete component
you don't really want to delete the component, that'd be bad. personally i've been leaning toward creating a graveyard product and just moving old components into it (mind you, component moving doesn't exist either).

If, instead of moving the bugs to some Graveyard product/component and thus preserving historical data, you really want to delete the bugs, you can switch the allowbugdeletion parameter on and try again.

(In reply to comment #2) > you really want to delete the bugs, you can switch > the allowbugdeletion parameter on and try again. Correct. This is the right to do.
