From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.5 [en] (WinNT; U) BuildID: M14 No "Existing Folders" listed when creating a program group Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Intaller 2. Proceed to "Program Folder" wizard pane. Selected options are irrelevant. Actual Results: "Existing Folders" list was empty. Expected Results: That exising folders be listed in the "Existing Folders" list.
Can you provide more info? what is the url path that you download the build from? I tried: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-win32-installer.exe dated from 3/02, and it showed me the existing folders just fine. Also, what OS did you try this from?
I used the M14 build, at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/m14/, though I have had the same problem with all previous builds I've tried. I was using Windows NT 4.0, SP 5, though I had the same problem with M13 under SP 4.
tterribe@vt.edu - you will need to try this with a more recent build - M15, or a nightly (ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/) because M14 is too old to be looking at bugs for now. I have tried to reproduce this bug but cannot find the "Program Folder" pane - do you mean the directory the app is installed in, or where on the Start Menu it puts icons? Gerv
Well, with two months since the last time this was looked at, I can see why. Got today's build from: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2000-05-11-09-M16/mozilla-win32-instal ler.exe This installer now correctly detects my existing folders, so I guess you can call it resolved.
