I tried various versions of Adobe acrobat but none worked with Firefox1.0.4.
When trying to open all I got was a white screen and the tool bar saying done.
When I backed down to 1.0 the pdf file popped right open.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load 1.0.4
2.Try to open a pdf file online
3.fail

Actual Results:  
White screen reporting done in toolbar

Expected Results:  
Opened a pdf file

Which versions of acrobat did you try? 

What pdfs are you trying to open? 

How did you install? 

What download action settings do you have to pdf files?

This seems like a user support request and not a valid bug report. User support
requests should be made to forums.mozillazne.org, irc or the newsgroups.

Since there has been no reply to comment #1 ==> WORKSFORME. 

The reported Firefox version(s) are too old a build to analyze bugs against now. The problem you are reporting may well have been fixed already.

Could you please download a recent version or nightly build from <http://www.mozilla.org/releases/nightly.html>, and then let us know if you still see this problem? If so feel free to report back and ask for the bug to be reopened.
