Version: unspecified → Trunk
oh, one last thing I forgot to add: did you uninstall the previous version? Uninstall all FF and DPA browsers and install the latest stable build of Firefox

And why should he do that ? That's unnecessary ! Reporter: Did you install in a clean directory or over an older build ? Does it work in the safemode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ?

I try to install "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050630 Firefox/1.0+" in a clean build. It works well ...
(In reply to comment #3) > And why should he do that ? > That's unnecessary ! Remove any old registry enteries and old directores.

I always install over the directory it was originally in. If it won't start, uninstall and reinstall kaing sure you have the most recent version (new one every day). Also, I would suggest downloading a nightly, not compiling your own version. The trunks are constantly being updated, so those are the most "iffy" of the versions out there. http://www.mozilla.org/developer

I encountered this "hinderance" today when I downloaded 20050706 (I believe it was that one, it never did start). Anyone else?
