During a normal session, all of my email accounts have been erased and my
navigator option settings have changed. When I click on the envelope to open the
email program, its as if I never added anything to it. My contacts go away as well.

This might have been an occasional failure by Mozilla to delete the parent.lock file. Haven't seen this in quite some time - WFM.
