Details
HTML files locally stored in the computer (AMD Athlon XP running Windows XP Service Pack 2) do not open when Firefox is set to launch with the "Choose Profile" prompt. Action that leads to error: - Make sure Firefox prompts you to choose a Profile each time you open it. - Open any html file you may have in your computer using Firefox. - Choose your Profile. - Watch the computer as the file is not opened.

Seems this is a Firefox Question not a b.m.o Issue -> Firefox

The command: 'firefox "site here" -p' works (with local files as well, and starting up firefox with don't ask at startup unchecked works as well, with local and internet files). firefox -p "site here" does NOT work (it does not recognize the site arg). Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I do believe it is since -p doesn't have any args that are associated with it (thus the site should be recognized as a firefox arg, not the p switch arg). Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050630 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005063006

Forgive me, apparently -p accepts an argument, the named profile. However, replacing -p with -profilemanager still doesn't go to the site if the site arg is after -profilemanager. This should be a bug.

This looks like a dupe of bug 296482. I tried to reproduce on trunk and 1.0. It only happened once, and that was when firefox.exe was running in the background. This *might* be related to bug 253950.
