RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 340956

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

eg: When attempting to download latest debian release 2 x 4Gb iso files from
ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/raid/4/debian-cd/3.1_r0a/i386/iso-dvd to folder
other than desktop. The file is deleted upon completion. this also happened
with Fedora core from another site.

The download enters into the minus figures before it completes, which seems a
bit odd, also after the download size reached 100% the download manager stays
open with the download still active but there is no file in the target
directory. while the file is downloading there is a temp file which continues
to grow until it reaches the same correct total size then it disappears.
note: The download manager was the last Firefox window open.
Also this has happened on 2 winxp workstations

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download large iso files from an ftp site
2.Save to folder other than desktop
3.observe files disappearing from target folder upon competion

Actual Results:
The file was deleted upon completion

Expected Results:
Left the downloaded files on the hdd ?
This is probably a dupe of either bug 228968 or bug 184452.

hmm, perhaps more appropriately duped to bug 331647?

PK <it@kingstons.net.au> -- does bug 331647 match your situation?
This does appear to similar to resolved bug 331647
Changed resolution to fixed
Resolution: DUPLICATE → FIXED
PK actually if 331647 is a match then this was fixed by bug 340956. Also correcting reported version to 1.0
Resolution: FIXED → DUPLICATE
Version: unspecified → 1.0 Branch
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
