I first noticed this problem using PGPkeys for Windows / Windows NT 
(www.pgp.com). Currently, there is no pluggin for Netscape/Mozilla and I did 
read the "bug" report about PGP pluggins and Mozilla's stance about it. But 
please not, this is actually not about PGP, but more-over external applications 
that interface with standard / derived edit controls to capture information to 
the clipboard or spawn some external process such as PGPkeys does (selects all 
text in edit control and copies it to the clipboard for processing). Some 
developers (like Phil Zimmerman of PGP) like the 
cross-platform/cross-application ease of copying data this way. It may not be 
the greatest method, but it works with practically everything, except the 
Composition window of Mozilla Mail/News.

XP, GFX widgets are a fundamental design choice.  If there are specific 
shortcomings of the XP widgets, those should be filed as separate enhancement 
requests.
