Using the official M14 release I created a new profile. I received some
messages. Then I drag & drop a message from the inbox to trash. This is ok if
there is still a message left in the inbox. The last message does NOT get
transfered to the trashcan.
I would probably think that drag/drop of the last message in any folder to
another folder would probably fail (?)

lisa: why should it fail? it's like an ordinary move, right?
Richard, yes.
I was just commenting that if this bug does exist, it's not particular which
folder is the source or destination.

I verified with a some other folders & messages, drag & drop always fails if
it's the last message of the source folder
I thought we had a bug where deleting the last message in a folder had problems
as well. I wonder if this is the same thing. I can't find that other bug.

Lisa, do you mean bug 24456? I think that's about the last message in the list,
not if there is only one message in the folder. Anyway, fenella has confirmed
this on Windows. On Linux, moving a message (if it's the only one listed in the
thread pane) to another folder fails (tested on local folder, not on IMAP cause
that crashes), but deleting the last message in the folder works. So I'll mark
this NEW.

Ever confirmed: true
I wonder if the Move... menu item works for the last message in the source
folder.

Since there is no DND on Linux that's what I used to try to move the message.
Neither that nor the context menu move worked.
I tried this on IMAP now, too, with the same results: move does not work if it's
the only message in the folder, although delete does work.
This all on Linux build 2000.03.06.09

I have a fix for this. I wasn't checking a null ptr and when it was being
accessed it failed and prevented the move/drag and drop from happening. Delete
message worked just fine.
nice catch.
