User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 a foobar.php page is downloaded as foobar.php.html page via the download manager rather than just getting opened by the browser paticular example accures on the game http://phantasyrpg.com but i've had other pages do the same Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. have more than just FireFox open 2. click on some link (i used mouse clicking for all testing) 3. as soon as you click on the link alt+tab on some other window (my case was IM window from AIM (with DeadAIM and Middle_man mods, but shouldn't matter) Actual Results: sometimes that will do the trick... the page will be downloaded and saved (on my desktop) rather than be open in the browser Expected Results: open the page in-browser! just like a normal web page! mm... i'm on a laptop :-\
I have a similar problem, I have only tested it on forums written in php, when I try to view a topic Firefox brings up the "Open file" dialog instead of opening the webpage inside the broswer. It also needs two clicks on some links before it opens them. On the 1st click it shows a blank screen and when you click the "go" button again it displays the web page. The problems occurred at the same time, two days ago. I haven't installed anything on the PC. I scanned for spyware/viruses with PC-Cillin Internet Security v14 nothing was found. I removed and re-installed Firefox, it didn't work I removed and delete all data (Application Data, Mozilla folder) it didn't work Reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: visit a website, forum coded in php Expected Results: open the page in-browser! just like a normal web page!
Error fixed, it had to do something with my ISP as it went down and when it got up and I had to reset the router/modem everything worked OK
backglancer This appears to be intended behaviour. For various keyboard shortcuts that use the enter button, the left-click can be used instead. The shortcut for save link as is alt+ENTER. alt+left click exhibits the same behaviour. When I was able to reproduce, it seemed it was when I was hitting the alt key slightly before the left-click, causing an alt-left click to be sent to firefox before the alt-tab gets registered by windows. Reproduced on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b2pre) Gecko/2007121009 Minefield/3.0b2pre -- Sam, Carsten Unsure if this shoud be an INVALID/WONTFIX. Will affect some users depending on the timing of their clicks/keypresses, but this bug was filed 2 years ago, and there doesn't seem to be any other bugs filed for this behaviour in bugzilla, suggesting it's not affecting many people.
This is INVALID (expected behavior). Thanks for looking at it!
