Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/412 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/412 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.0.2 (20050317) When downloading messages from a newly-set-up account, deletion of messages from the server is the default behaviour. While most of the time this would be fine, some people depend on being able to access their messages from several computers and/or a webmail front end (i.e. when travelling). The first time I used Thunderbird, I didn't know that this was the default behaviour, and so I irreversibly emptied my POP3 server of several months' worth of messages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Thunderbird 2. Set up new POP3 account 3. Download messages Actual Results: All messages were downloaded, and were removed from the server before an option to leave the messages on the server was offered. Expected Results: In the account setup, the option to leave messages on the server should have been presented.
