Yeah, regressions like this are blockers, definitely. Seems like we could easily
fix it before 2.20, anyhow.

Wurblzap fixes this in bug #257767 but just for completeness sake, here's the
patch to this problem.

It looks like bug #257767 might not be resolved as quickly as I thought.
I'm asking for review on the patch to resolve this bug and remove the blocker
status on #257767
