RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 142664

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

Earlier today, I downloaded a zip file directly to a floppy disk. Since then,
every time I tried to download a file or save a link, I'd get a "No disk in
drive, please insert floppy disk into Drive A:" error. In addition, the error
message persisted for quite some time, as per bug #142664. I ultimately fixed
the problem by directing Firefox to download a file to the C: drive, as well as
setting browser.download.dir to C: in the config, but I believe there should be
some sort of intelligent detection for downloading to floppy disks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download a file directly to a disk.
2. Download/save anything else.
Actual Results:
I got the error again.

Expected Results:
Noted that there was no disk in the A: drive, and defaulted to the Desktop in
the save location.
See bug 142664 comment 2 for a workaround (yes, the same bug as mentioned in
your report).
