Build Identifier:

Reporting this on behalf of a customer. I have not seen the bug myself other
than screen shots. Incorrect resize and redirect for no apparent reason. As this
worked in Firefox 1.0.3 on the Mac but not 1.0.4 and does work on Firefox 1.0.4
on Linux and Windows I have assumed it is a Firefox bug on Mac not an FCKEditor bug

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/default.html
2. edit or create a link in the Javascript based editor

Actual Results:
See a window resize followed by a redirect.

Expected Results:
Presented with a ppup with a form to change / create a link
Workaround as found by customer:

This has been driving me mad lately, because I can't do any meaningful work on
our site unless I've got access to Windoze. If I'm in the office that's okay
(although it's still a pain), but if I'm working at home or using a laptop, I'm
completely stuck.

In the absense of any response to the bug report you submitted, I've spent the
afternoon searching the internet and playing around with Firefox.

I installed version 1.0.5 then 1.0.6 and found that the problem still existed,
but I realised that as well as shrinking everything down, the link editor was
opening in a new browser tab. In Firefox 1.0.3 it used to open in a pop-up
window, a(as it does in IE on Windows). I remembered that the javascript errors
had included a reference to popups. Firefox has a built-in popup blocker;
enabling popups for our site didn't make any difference. I don't know the first
thing about javascript but I found a preference that said "allow javascript to
resize window", and I turned this off. Lo and behold, when I clicked on a link
the browser no longer shrank down and gave me an undefined error message,
although the link editor still opened in a new tab. Then I installed the latest
version of a Firefox Extension called TabbedBrowsserPreferences. This has an
option to "open requested javascript popup in tabs: unresized popup". And as if
by magic, everything now works perfectly.

So there we go. I don't really understand why the problem originally arose, but
the main thing is that it's now fixed!
If this is fixed for you I will mark this bug as WFM...

Thank you
