current cvs build of seamonkey. runs nice but everytime i start it i have to
choose a new profile or convert the ns4 profiles.
i tried different names, folders etc.
seamonkey just does not remember the profiles and the manager doesn't show them
even when i created them just a minute ago. but the profile is there with all
content.
used the same build options i've used the whole year. never had this before.
tried as root and the right are ok.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start seamonkey
2. create a new profile
3. start it later and it's gone

Actual Results:  
profile is lost.

seems like it's only when running seamonkey as root!

little update that might give a good point:

If your profile has a .netscape directory (e.g. has *ever* run SGI's default browser) then seamonkey will ask to convert this, but will not see any other profiles. So it's not possible to mix Netscape and Seamonkey as the same user.
