300053 - .url files has IE logo but starts Firefox

When I click on a .url file Firefox is started and this is very nice. But the
.url file still shows the IE logo. Shouldn't this be changed?

Did you reboot your computer, or rebuild your icon cache after setting the
association?

I never set that association. Doesn't Firefox open automatically if it's the
default browser on the system. I think so.

I think the association of the icon is made by the OS. Probably isn't a Firefox bug.

By "setting the association", I meant "setting Firefox as your default browser".
In any case, Jorge is right, this is probably some other OS problem. Another app
may have changed you file associations.

Maybe this bug should be changed to an enhancement request: "firefox/seamonkey
installer should change icon for .url files on Windows" .
