User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511

When I am running the streaming quotes Java applet from OptionsXpress the
insertion point randomly moves one character left during typing in any Mozilla
Address bar, text field, or email compose window, causing random characters to
get pushed to the end of the line. This problem becomes worse as I increase the
number of stocks listed in the streamer. I observed the problem with Java 1.3.1
and it is still reproducible with Java build 1.5.0_03-b07. An example of this
behavior is shown between the parenthesis below:

(The quick brow fox jumped over te lazy dog's backhn)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to https://www.optionsxpress.com and create an account(use bogus info if
desired... you will still be able to get in, though you will not be able to
trade. If you do not want to do this, contact me and I will set up a bogus
account for you)

2. Once you have gained access, click on the "Quote" tab then click on the
"Streaming" link. This will open the applet in a new window.

3. In the applet window, at the top left, is a text entry box. One after
another, enter at least 5 stock ticker symbols, clicking "Add" after entering
each one. Some valid tickers: GOOG, AAPL, DELL, TWX, TOL, VLO, BBY, SBUX

4. Now, open any web page with a textarea box, compose an email, or type in the
address bar. The problem should manifest by the time you have typed a couple of
sentences. Please note: I have also reproduced this problem on an XP machine
with the same Java versions.
Actual Results:
As I mentioned before, the cursor makes random jumps one character to the left
while typing, pushing characters to the end of the line.

Expected Results:
Text should appear as typed.

I'm using the Modern Theme. I will update later if I find that the behavior
changes with the Classic Theme(need to restart Mozilla).

Also, I thought I entered this bug a day or two ago, but I never received email
and I can't find it now. General Bugzilla searches seem to "Ponder" forever, and
I don't see it when I search for my bugs. Hopefully this one sticks.

Is this an issue with a current build? 1.7.x builds use a very old layout engine version...
