We're getting more last-minute regression filed from the switch to CFRunLoop. We
should probably disable it for the upcoming release and maybe turn it on again
later.

Note: this bug is filed for discussion. I will back out CFRunLoop changes if/when we decide to call for it. 
Just because this bug exists does not mean we are going to back it out for sure.

I am well aware of how nice it is to have CFRunLoop, so please don't spam this bug telling us how much 
you like it. Lets talk about the technical issues related to backing it out or keeping it in.

all regressions

Closing for now as we seem to have solved most/all of the regressions. Will
reopen if we ever decide to reconsider backing out the CFRunLoop changes.
