When I detach an attachment from a message that includes a digital signature,
the attachment detaches, but the text of the messsage is no longer visible in
the message window. If I view the source, the text is still there. Also, it
appears that the digital signature gets removed, too.

This happens when I detach attachments both from messages on my IMAP server and
from messages in Local Folders. The problem doesn't exist on message that do not
have digital signatures. So far I have tried this only on messages containing a
single attachment.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open message containing digital signature
2.Right click on attachment, then select "Detach..."
3.Save attachment

Actual Results:  
Attachment is detached and saved, but the text of the message is no longer viewable.

Expected Results:  
The text of the message should have remained viewable.

Yes, it looks related to bug 288700, and I now see that the specific behavior I
reported is mentioned in bug 2920 comment #419.
