When I start Firefox, the above " taskbar" with all the buttons to different things on Firefox appear, but all that shows in the main window is my desktop.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on Fire Fox icon

Actual Results:  
Shows "task bar" above, but the main window shows only my own desktop.

Expected Results:  
gone to Fire Fox start up page
Does this occur if you start firefox in firefox safe mode
