I found a link to a site called
http://www.big-boys.com/articles/fartpreach4.html. I tried the site normally,
and it hung on loading. so i closed the extra page. I tried to tab it. FX
(FirefoX) instantly crashed, and i had to Ctrl-Alt-Delete it. When i tried to
use FX,it said i had to create another user account..? i had never even heard of
user accounts. when i tried to login to the default one, it said it was already
in use.. so i created another. i need help because my bookmarks were in the
first one and i need them back.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click link http://www.big-boys.com/articles/fartpreach4.html. Close link.
2.Tab link http://www.big-boys.com/articles/fartpreach4.html. Freezes.
3.Try to use Firefox again.

Actual Results:  
Nothing. I could not reproduce the problem, as it worked fine when i tried.

Do you mean crashed or did it freeze/hang ?

If you get the "profile in use" dialog, you had a FF process running in the
background. This is usually caused by extensions.
But FX1.0.X is too old (the Gecko is over 12+ months old).

Can you reproduce this with a recent FX trunk build or the Deer Park Alpha if
you run it in the FX safemode ?

works for me with  Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a5pre) Gecko/2007052909 Minefield/3.0a5pre.

Closing this as incomplete since no answer to question if this is reproduce able in safe mode and also with a new (in this Case 1.5/2.0 Beta Build). 

The URL provided in this bug is a site with a video, maybe this crash/hang was related to a plugin in Firefox 1.0.4.
