User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050620 Camino/0.9a1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050620 Camino/0.9a1 Camino crashes evry time I right click a site with only a .swf (Flash) document and selects "View source". And by the way... What is that button doing there in swf only pages in the first place??? It should be deactivated! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://198.63.211.251/share/banners/hello.swf 2. Right click the site and select "View Source" 3. Enjoy the crash. Actual Results: A new tab with source:http://198.63.211.251/share/banners/hello.swf apperas and the browser crashes/stops responding. Expected Results: Nothing, you shoudn't be able to select source code from a Flash document in a browser!

This isn't a crash; it's a hang. The same thing happens if you try to grab, say, a disk image from a misconfigured server (one that sends it as text/plain). You may be right that View Source shouldn't work for binary files (but then, how is the browser supposed to know?). Also, I get Flash's contextual menu at that URL; there's no "View Source" in it at all.

My Camino crashes (quit) and starts TalckBack.
(In reply to comment #1) > Also, I get Flash's contextual menu at that URL; there's no "View Source" in it > at all. Lucky you! I can never get the Flash CM anymore; see bug 192276 and bug 242906; there are also several "crash when ctrl-clicking on Flash" bugs. At any rate, we shouldn't be crashing when doing view-source: on a plugin (even if we shouldn't be doing view-source on plugins in the first place!); reporter, what is the Talkback ID of that crash?

(In reply to comment #3) > there are also several "crash when ctrl-clicking on Flash" bugs. Ahh, the old "ctrl-click handled differently than right-click" thing. Sorry; my mistake.

this didn't crash for me when i tried it with my build from the 29th or so. getting off the 0.9 list until we can confirm it.
Target Milestone: Camino0.9 → ---
Reporter, can you check with a recent nightly build and see it still crashes?
If you experience this crash again in a recent nighly build, please attach a Mac OS X crashlog and reopen this bug.
