300324 - Cannot add a new search engine. Cannot judge it.

Simply nothing happens when I click in new search engines to add them. I can't
judge them either. I tried closing and opening Firefox again. I tried rebooting.
Everytime I click in the new search engine to add it, nothing happens. Even I
can't see the mouse arrow changing to "thinking" or "busy" status. I tried to do
it from the main page (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html),
then  I tried from (http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html), then I tried from
(http://mycroft.mozdev.org/quick/imdb.html). Then I tried with many different
examples (imdb, wikipedia, askjeeves, etc). Nothing happens when I click.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html)
2. Go to "add new search engines"
3. Click on the name (imdb, wikipedia, etc)

Actual Results:  
Nothing happens

Expected Results:  
add the engine to the search toolbar. I still keep the original six.

Can you reproduce this with a current trunk build:

Does the problem occur if you start firefox in safe mode:

Hi,

if I run Firefox in safe mode I can add the engines without problems.
Then I run it in normal mode and the added  engines are not there...

Looks like an extension problem. Pablo can you narrow this down to being caued
by an extension by disabling them one by one.

just came across this myself. from the search engine combo box, i select "add
engines", click IMDB (doesnt matter what) from the list, geta confirmation
dialog, confirm, and see no results in the search engine combo box. what i do
see are added horizontal delimiters (lines). firefox 1.5 beta 2 on windows XP SP2.
not running in safe mode, and no extensions installed whatsoever (fresh new install)

i can confim this on 1.5 Beta 1 and 1.5 Beta 2. i cannot "Add Engines" to the
dropdown. I confirm the install with OK, but the new Engine isn't displayed!

Resolving invalid, since the original problem was apparently from an extension,
and all the useless "I see some other problem with the same symptom" comments
aren't going to change that.
