User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pt-BR; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pt-BR; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 I downloaded one file directly into A:. My FF is set to ask where to download files, but it always starts on the last saved folder. The next time I tried to UPLOAD or DOWNLOAD files, FF apparently tried to find A: and crashed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the Options>Downloads, select "Ask for each new file" (sorry if it's not exactly right, my FF isn't in English) 2. Save something directly into A: 3. Remove the floppy disk and try to download something. Actual Results: FF crashed Expected Results: Redirected the file navigator to another directory

Did it really crash? Or was it just a hang? Could you provide a talkback ID or stack trace?

The looking for a: drive issue is a dupe of bug 142664 , however none of the dupes mention a crash.
Once I had right clicked a link and choosen A:\ for saving a file. eversinec then mozilla would crash on any download, if A:\ is empty thanks!
Once I had right clicked a link and choosen A:\ for saving a file. eversinec then mozilla would crash on any download, if A:\ is empty With crash I meant: A popup would appear saying "There is no disk in the drive. Insert disk in A:\" with three options: Cancel, Try again, Continue.. and on choosing any of these options, the popup would appear again and again for 14 times. And then the download would start! thanks!
Summary: crash when trying to find A: when it's not needed → dialog when trying to find A: when it's not needed
