there are 2 license files, in both the mac and windows installer directories. The about: page now needs to share this file. There should be ONE copy of this for obvious reasons, installer people have agreed to put it in xpfe/global/resources/content. Mac has some special formatting and will keep the local version there, but windows should delete its version to avoid maintenance confusion.
is this a beta1 requirement?
beta1, we need this for license bug 10980
Keywords: beta1
Chris, who needs to do this work? You? The installer team? (Note to PDT folks: this is one of those MUST FIX things for beta 1.)
Priority: P3 → P1
Target Milestone: M14
that would be only me, as far as I know. Then Steve Rudman could just check new license file updates to this area too. I'll make sure the installer build system picks it up.

required for license

the installer side of the bargain has been dealt with. The license file has been moved to ns\xpfe\global\resources\content. The installer build scripts will pick it up from there now. Reassigning to MCafee for license integration with the browser code.
