30065 - mail folders pane shows unread messages when all have been read

After all the messages have been read, the folders pane shows that some messages
still have not been read. This occurs in both the InBox (see attached gif) and
other mail folders. For instance the attached gif shows 2 unread messages in the
Linux-VM folder when all the messages there have been read.
