Thunderbird(HEAD): I subscribed to several RSS feeds from this CNET web page:
http://news.com.com/RSS+feeds+from+CNET+News.com/2009-1090_3-980549.html?tag=ne.ft.si.rss

I consistently notice that the text of the dowloaded articles is partially
obscured by a prominent vertical banner ad displayed just to the right of the
text.

If I open the same URL in firefox the banner ads are completely different, but
they also do not obscure any of the text.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Subscribe to an RSS feed from the CNET web page (provided above).
2.When reading the individual RSS articles from the news.com website, note that
the right margin of the article text is covered by the vertical banner ad.
3.If you drag the URL from the 'Website URL' header in thunderbird to firefox or
mozilla you will see that the banner ads are different and the article text is
  not obscured.
Also happens with 1.5 on Mac OS X.

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?

(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)

I'm not seeing it now, but the pages are still badly rendered.
Many of the clickable links overlap the adjacent text, making
it difficult to read. I'm not sure if it's the same bug, but
overlapping text is almost as bad as obscured text.

I'd appreciate an expert opinion on this because I run into
it from time to time on other sites as well.

I'm not seeing any overlapped text on Linux 2.0.0.17pre; do you have a screenshot of the issue or a specific entry that I can use to check?
This is today's build of Shredder from CVS, displaying an RSS feed
from news.cnet.com. In fact, I'm looking at their website now with
today's build of Minefield and I see some overlapping text in a pane
titled "More blogs from CNET" where the bold text "CNET" from the
title is line-wrapped down onto the first line of text.
