Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 I am attempting to upgrade Firefox to the latest release (v1.0.5) due to the security vulnerabilities that have been reported in previous versions. I downloaded the update from the Firefox website as per normal; when the install is attempted, the installer program bar is labelled "Netscape 7.2. Setup" and after clicking through the EUA the installer attmepts to install to the path "Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\", at which point the installer crashes. As a side note in case it is of assistance, I do not, nor have I ever, had Netscape installed on this particular host. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on installer icon to run the installer. 2. At the "Netscape 7.2 Setup Welcome" window click next. 3. At the "Netscape 7.2 Setup - Software License Agreement" window select the "I accept..." radio button and click next. 4. At the "Netscape 7.2 Setuup - Setup Type" window select either type of setup and click next. 5. At the next window click next. 6. Throw arms up in air and scream into pillow when installer crashes again. :-) Actual Results: The installer crashed. Expected Results: Well, it shouldn't have crashed. :-) The install should've continued as per normal.
