In Firefox 1.0.5 the Bookmarks Toolbar is blank.  I have tried turning it off
and on but it stays blank.  In the prior version, which I have reinstalled on my
computer I had no problems with the bookmarks toolbar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install 1.0.5 over 1.0.4
2. Run Firefox
3. The Bookmarks Toolbar will be blank.

Actual Results:  
The Bookmarks Toolbar was blank.

Expected Results:  
I should have been able to see the bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar.

No additional info.

Do you mean you have lost your bookmarks or did then return when you reinstalled
the earlier version?

The bookmarks were still there.  The bookmarks toolbar was merely blank.  As it
turns out I had to close and then open sidebar bookmark display to see it.  If I
went to bookmarks on the top menu they were all there.

When I reinstalled 1.0.4 everything was working the way it should again.  The
bookmarks toolbar was fine and the sidebar bookmark display was there when the
program openned.

Hi, 

I have the exact same problem with Deer Park Alpha 2. 
It occured after i installed an other theme (the author said it was compatible).
After that i couldn't see any bookmarks in the toolbar anymore, but they were
there (under the Bookmarks menu) 

By deleting the localstore.rdf in my profile everything was normal again

I have tried the above remedy and it hasn't helped.  I have just tried the
latest version of Firefox 1.0.7 and the bug persists.  In fact the Bookmarks now
no longer are displayed in the sidebar as well.  I can reproduce these problems
everytime and on 3 of our 6 computers.

Please help on this.

I tried to figure this one out and did all the things possible to make the bookmarks come back and I couldn't get it to work. finally I went to the area above the "tabs" and right clicked and selected "customise" I then selected restore defaults and "boom!!!" they all came back.  for those of you who like instructions here you go:
1. right click on the "toolbar" section of firefox. (usualy next to the file,edit,
    view, go, bookmarks, tools, and help.)
2. select the "customize..." 
3. now a window pops up and you can customize your toolbars. 
4. select "restore default set" on the lower right 
5. this should restore your bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar and make them          
   visible.
I hope this helps it worked for me.
