I can send a screenshot and text file thanks to InfoLister.  Only thing in blank
section is a red caret (^) about a half-inch above Start button.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I completely removed it, re-installed it.
2.The border was back to normal.
3.Added just a few newer extensions than I had with FF 1.04, encountered same
border at the bottom.

This is caused by one of the extensions, if you start firefox in safe mode it
should disappear as safe mode disables your extensions.

If it is not there in safe mode then please resolve this bug as invalid as it is
an extension problem.

You will then need to go through your extensions disabling them one by one to
find the one causing the problem. Please then report the problem to the
extension author.

This was on a client's PC which I have no access to at the moment.

Oops, just saw the date, so it happened also on FF 1.05 on Win 98se because of one or more extensions.

With release builds this has almost if not always been due to an extension that uses a locale string that has changed... to avoid this many extension authors just copy the string into their own locale file. I'm going to resolve this as invalid since it is up to the extension author to resolve errors with their extension. Thanks
