User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050714 SeaMonkey/1.0a
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050714 SeaMonkey/1.0a
Although I click on the ICON "Click here to get the plugin" nothing happens. I
have no problem viewing this site in I.E.
Reproducible: Always
I have reported this before, but evidentially I was told I have to have a
different Shockwave Flash plug in for Mozilla -- that response did not make
sense, and the current version does not appear to allow for the Plugin to be
downloaded.
Thanks
Marc

The URL to download Flash Player is:
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
For some reason "Get the Plug-in" button does not work anymore. I have see this
for like a week or more in SeaMonkey nightlys.
Leaving as UNCONFIRMED status for now.

Still not fixed in this build:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050816 SeaMonkey/1.0a
To reproduce it:
Click on "Click here to get the plugin", a window entitled "Plug-in not loaded"
displaying the MIME type "application/x-shockwave-flash" and the message "You
can retrieve this plug-in from: http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
appears with a button "Get the Plug-in". When you click this button, the window
goes away and "Connecting to www.macromedia.com" shows shortly in the status
bar. Then the text "After installing the plugin, click here." appears in place
of the Flash animation, you click it; nothing happens.
When you manually go to http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer, you can
download and install the plugin without problem. Then you click the last message
above and the Flash movie appears.
I use Mozilla 1.84 - flash works fine. Still have it on the machine in a
different directory.
I downloaded SeaMonkey 1.0a a few weeks ago and found this same problem - no
display of flash media. I tried installing various versions of flashplayer (#7,
#8) and shockwave, but all I get is a blank screen - Seamonkey does not even ask
for the plugin.
I downloaded SeaMonkey 1.1a a few days ago and found no change in the problem.
Last night's build (10-4-05) still does not work with flash.

broken: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060120 Firefox/1.6a1
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060126 SeaMonkey/1.5a
testing Seamonkey:
1. load http://www.ladhs.org/media
2. click 'click here to load the plugin' loads: http://plugins.netscape.com/plug-in_finder.adp?mimetype=application/x-shockwave-flash&pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer&pluginurl=
3. click on 'Flash player'
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1:
Flash Player by Macromedia Inc.
4. http://plugins.netscape.com/moreinfo.adp?PID=11317
click on Download:
Click to
Download
Available for Mac OS 8.1 - 9.x, Windows3.x, Windows95, Windows98, WindowsNT, WindowsXP, WindowsME, Windows2000, Linux, Solaris
5. http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
That's the page with Installation Instructions and Download button.
I didn't proceed further, as I didn't want to download another copy, I know it is working.
Testing Firefox:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060120 Firefox/1.6a1
1. http://www.ladhs.org/media/ brings up Alert line missing Plugins.
2. click Install plugin brings up Plug-In Finder Service box.
3. clicking next to install Flash brings up the Licence
4. In the Licence Box the NEXT button is greyed out and can't vbe activated, neither by scrolling the license fully, nor by clicking the Radio button accept. Only way out is to click 'Cancel'
Severity: normal → major
Summary: Shockwave Flash Plug In does not work → PFS: Shockwave Flash Plug In: Licence can't be accepted, Next Button greyed out
