Do you see this same behavior with a new profile? Also, how are you attempting to open another window when you have all of your windows closed?

WFM with the same build: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050714 Firefox/1.0+ Bug 294041 describes something similar, when there is a docked (minimized) window. Mitchell - are you sure this is not the case?

this is still broken for me (with a new profile as well) on trunk build 20050717. re: #2, it fails to spawn a new window for me from either command-n or file -> new window (see my original comments). re: #3, no, the windows are not minimized when i try to spawn new ones; there are _no_ windows when i try to spawn new ones. as far as i can remember, it happens before i install extentions (i don't install themes, as it makes deerpark spawn the bloody update checker window). the only thing i can think of that link the two profiles together is the fact that i have imported my safari bookmarks both times, but i can't think that would have anything to do with it... on a 12" powerbook (with the scrolling touchpad) - 1.5GHz/1.25G Ram; 10.4.2
