I would like to set animations to play only once, but I haven't because I don't want to have to change the settings in the event that I want to see one again and then change it back. Reproducible: Always

This sounds like a feature request that could/may be implemented as an extension. Nominating to see if this is a wontfix.

It is a wontfix, but don't abuse the blocking flags just to get attention.
