Could there be an option to play an animation once and then add a small button
that would give the option of playing it again? I would like to set animations
to play only once, but I haven't because I don't want to have to change the
settings in the event that I want to see one again and then change it back.

Reproducible: Always
What kind of animations ?
Flash, Gif Images, Quicktimes movies ?

Animated GIF images.
See Suite bug 69405.
This sounds like a feature request that could/may be implemented as an
extension. Nominating to see if this is a wontfix.
Flags: blocking-aviary1.1?

Hardware: PC → All
It is a wontfix, but don't abuse the blocking flags just to get attention.
