User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0+ Bug 253950 fixed what was certainly one of the biggest support issues in Firefox 1.0.x -- the dreaded "what happened to my bookmarks/profile in use" bug. For Firefox 1.1 the user will be presented with a dialog, which instructs them to restart Firefox. However, this quite possibly will be confusing to many users as they have no indication Firefox is running, and bringing up task manager to close the firefox.exe program is too difficult. I think this dialog box also needs to indicate that their computer may need to be restarted. There may be a better way to deal with this issue, what I am really trying to solve is giving a clear message to the user on how to bring Firefox back to its normal operating condition. Reproducible: Always

from bug 253950 comment 30 : "There is also glue for a platform-specific ability for this dialog to show two buttons: [Cancel] [Restart Firefox] This ability, however, is not yet implemented on any platform. I hope to have it implemented on windows for 1.8, and perhaps unix." As this is filled against windows I believe this is a dupe of bug 286355
