(In reply to comment #3) > I am the administrator. Can you try to reproduce with a recent trunk build to see if it is fixed in the current code base?
Reporter: Please see if you can reproduce using this build - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-07-16-05-aviary1.0.1/
Same problem. Firefox works great, but the extensions don't.
i uninstalled firefox, and the program folder and cleaned out the registry. reinstalled with 1.06 and still had the same problem. albeit i found ti weird my bookmarks were still there. so there was somethign that wasn't deleted.

(In reply to comment #11) > *** Bug 311481 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Has anyone made any progress on this bug? should I remove and reistall firefox to see if this corrects the problem? I have just install firefox on my laptop at work and as of yet have not had any problems with the extension manager. Ken.

these problem seemed to happen about the time the new flash player came out. Because after that, my adblock wasn't working so i tried to uninstall it, and reinstall it. Thats when i noticed that i could not get the extension manager to work, and installing extension only resulted in the 3,2,1 screen to close out. the extensions that i had before the error started remained, and continued to update when a new version is out, and the updates take effect and still work.
Most of these are probably bug 264985.
no response - resolving -> wfm if this is still a problem with 1.5 please open a new bug - with the rewrites that have occurred chances are if you experience this symptom it would be for a different reason than with 1.0.x
