I have've created my own locale, which I use for the whole system.
The time/date settings are the following:

END LC_TIME

When I start Thunderbird everything works fine and TB uses the date/time format
strings from the locale (and I get for example something like 2005-07-17
12:26:43). But after a while the date/time settings from en_US are used and I
see something like 07/17/2005 12:26 AM.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Unfortunately I don't know which exact action leads to the locale "switch".
Actual Results:
Time and date locale settings (and perhaps other locale settings, too) are not
used correctly.

Expected Results:
Use the locale settings from the system (i. e. the LANG, LC_ALL, etc.
environment variables) not only some time after TB was started.
I've found out how to reproduce the bug, but I'm not sure if it's a bug in
Thunderbird.

The Date/Time settings chance the firs time when I decrypt a message using Enigmail.
QA Contact: general
reporter: "no longer use thunderbird, so I cannot tell you" if this is gone.

problem might be gone, might be in enigmail, or might not even require enigmail - I'm not finding *any* date bugs that mention enigmail...perhaps this should be closed incomplete since reporter wont be able to verify
Summary: TB changes date/time format during execution → TB changes date/time format during execution, due to enigmail?
No additional useful information since last comment -> resolving incomplete.

Please comment if the issue still occurs in the latest supported 2.0.0.14 / trunk nightlies.
