After a couple of weeks sent messages were no longer being saved, and checking the box in the mail account settings (Copies and Folders) to place a copy of a sent message in my 'Sent' folder would not be reatined (ie, I check the box and click ok, I either close Mozilla nad reopen, or simply go back to the Mail Account settings and the box is blank again - version 1.7.7 has not fixed this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send a message - copy not saved in Sent folder 2. Go to Mail Account Settings\Copies & Folders and check 'Place a copy in" and check '"sent" Folder on.....Click OK 3. Go back to the Mail Account Settings and the boxes are unchecked again Actual Results: Explained above Expected Results: The settings should have been retained and sent messages should be saved in my "Sent" folder Not aware of any changes to my system that would cause this change in behaviour (note that sent messages were properly saved in the "Sent" folder for a few weeks after installing. Only using XP SP 1 (not SP 2). Virus checkers (McAfee) have remained the same. This PC is an AMD Athlon 3200+

Do you see any errors in JavaScript Console (Tools->Web Development->JavaScript Console) after clicking the OK button?

Got the same problem as described above. Goes also for "Save draft" and "Save template": settings do not stick! Used Thunderbird 1.0.6, now updated to 1.0.7 (20050923), still the same problem. Running Win XP SP 2, Zone Alarm Firewall & Norton AntiVirus.

This seems to be the same problem as the following Thunderbird bugs: bug 303271 "place a copy in:" option does not work bug 312180 Copies & Folders Account Settings are not saved Having the same problem on Linux with Mozilla 1.7 and 1.7.8, thus confirming.
