Its now impossible to write "ô" or "î" in mozilla 1.7.5. With mozilla 1.5 on the
same system it works very well. The other accent (éèàç etc..) are ok.  "ô" and
"î" are two special accent because you must hit two touch on the keyboard to do
them, I dont know if this information can help to find the bug....

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just try to do "ô" or "î"

Actual Results:  
I have the letter "o" or "i" being written without the accent.

Expected Results:  
"ô" or "î" with the accent.
