I know this bug has been reported many times, but I can't find anything with
this bugzilla.

I'm here to report that while my Firefox mini-seminars are batting 1000, I have
not gotten abyone to switch to thunderbird yet. They all say "I don't know when
my messages have been checked because it doesnt give me a dialog box...the only
way you can know is if you open this thing and hit the button a few times and
maybe if you are lucky you will see a 'no messages' thing at the bottom'

I've heard the same thing for every single person. It's driving me nuts too,
but I'm a Gmailer anyhow. I'm sure there's an extension, but no one is
reporting it.

Disclaimer: My bug reports are one way, in no way shape or form do I ever come
back to see the progress on this or ever read the comments added.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird
2. Wait until the end of time
3.

Actual Results:
Absolute no status update as to received no messages. For some reason it tells
you when you get messages, but not when ther are none. You have to hit the
button twice. Not going to happen.

Expected Results:
Have an Outlook Express dialog box. That's why that product is awesome.
